National Museum of Saudi Arabia (King Faisal Road, King Abdul Aziz Historical Centre, Riyadh 12631) – this museum is one of the purest gems of Riyadh. Located in Al-Muraba at the King Abdul Aziz Historical Center is this excellent spot that will not only entertain its visitors but teach them a couple of interesting details about Islam, the history of the Arabian peninsula and of course, Saudi Arabia. Many artifacts are housed in this aesthetically-pleasing gallery of sorts that takes each visitor on a walk that tells the tale of Saudi’s pre-historic era all the way up to today. Admission: SR 10 per person (free for children and students). Hours: 9:00 am – 12:00 pm & 4:30 pm – 9:30 pm (open daily except for Fridays and Saturday afternoon for maintenance).
